Update 11/21/08: Pretty Aurora is now being sponsored by Animal Friends Rescue Project and is waiting for her forever home at Posh Pets in Pacific Grove. Contact Kelly of AFRP or Friendly Farms for more information.
This lovely young girl is a Californian mix with a sweet disposition. She enjoys taking lots of strokes on her ears and listening to you tell her what a beautiful girl she is.
That may look like a big dish of food, but she still has some growing to do, so she needs plenty of hay, pellets, and fresh greens to do the job right. A nice roomy home where she can kick up her heels will help her to develop strong bones and muscles as well.
If you have room in your heart and home for this fun girl, contact Friendly Farms, or Monterey County Animal Services. She is living at the shelter, where her id is: A086430. Aurora has been spayed, and is ready to move into a loving, indoor home.

Congratulations to Augusto and his new family! May you share many wonderful years together!
Augusto was mistaken for a wild cottontail rabbit and taken to the SPCA Wildlife Center when he was found stray. He is actually a very tame domestic rabbit who for some reason ended up lost or abandoned.
Augusto has been calling the Wildlife Center home since August, hence his name. He is sweet, loving, gentle, playful, curious, and very deserving of a family of his own to love him. He is a very clean litter box trained bunny. The staff and volunteers at the Wildlife Center adore him and spoil him, and he is most appreciative of all of his toys, soft blankets, apple sticks, salads, and fruit and berry treats! But, what will make Augusto happiest is a real home with a loving family he can bond with.
All Wildlife Center adoptive exotic pets receive a complimentary examination at the Avian & Exotic Clinic in Ryan Ranch. This is also where Augusto was neutered and treated for the minor wounds that he had when he was rescued.
To meet Augusto, please visit or call the SPCA of Monterey County Wildlife Center located at 2 Harris Court in Ryan Ranch, (831) 373-2631 ext. 227; or contact Lesli at (831) 238-5077.

Update 11/21/08: Lily and Dexter have been adopted! Best wishes to them and their new family!
Lily and Dexter are a delightful pair! They love to run and play, and it is fun to watch them chasing each other and throwing their toys. Then they settle in and groom each other before taking a nap side by side.
Dexter is the solid black bunny and Lily has the gorgeous eye-liner. They are both the same size- about 5 lbs. each- and we think that they are brother and sister. They are about 1 1/2 years old now. Here is a video of them made when they were living at the Watsonville shelter:

Lily and Dexter are now being sponsored by Animal Friends Rescue Project. You can meet them everyday at Posh Pets in Pacific Grove.
For more information about this charming and active pair, contact Kelly at 831-375-7387 (375-PETS), or contact us here at Friendly Farms. They are altered and ready to move into a loving (and bunny-proofed!) home.

This gorgeous girl has had a lot happen to her in the past few weeks- ending up at the shelter, having her spay surgery- so she is still a little unsure of herself in new situations. Give her a little time to settle in and some reassuring strokes, and her sweet and fun personality soon emerges.
Dapple is currently living at Salinas Animal Services, where her shelter number is: A046486. Contact Friendly Farms or the shelter for more information about this stunning, friendly girl.
